Electrical Engineering

The Department of Electrical Engineering is offering B.E. (Electrical) since A.Y. 2001-02 and M.E. (Electrical – Power Electronics & Electrical Drives) since A.Y. 2012-13 having intake of 120 and 24 respectively. Total 12 batches of B.E. (Electrical) and 3 batches of M.E. (Electrical) have been passed out. The department is the pioneer to develop Renewable Energy Sources Laboratory in the entire Saurashtra region.

To provide a platform for overall development of its stakeholders and inculcate qualities required to master state-of-the-art technology in Electrical Engineering.

To impart quality education through advanced learning in the various field of electrical & allied areas. To endeavor to create excellent teaching-learning ambience leading to research and innovation for the learners who aspire to serve the society.

Electrical Engineering program is intended to:

  • Engage student in lifelong learning, career enhancement and adopt to changing professional and social needs.

Electrical Engineers are much in demand in India. In the recent years, from house to companies every where there is a necessity of electricity to function, offering numerous opportunities to electrical engineers.

Electrical engineers can work in atomic power plants, hydel or thermal power plants. Job opportunities are ample in both private and public sector like railways, civil aviation, electricity board and utility companies, electrical design and consultancy firms and all types of manufacturing industries.
